Homecoming Parade 2014...

We had an AMAZING time at the LHS Homecoming Parade on Friday.  We dressed in our Prowler gear, tatoos, beads, etc. and headed off to the parade.  We each got a bag full of candy and had a lot of laughs with our friends.  It was an AWESOME time.  GO PROWLERS!!!!!

Visit To Valley Home...

Our special grandma at Valley Home is Grandma Darlene.  She used to spend time with Mrs. Helling's students at Challenger until she moved to Valley Home last year.  She is an AMAZING person.  Tyler was so lucky to work with her.  So was she!!

We had a WONDERFUL and AMAZING 1st time at Valley Home.  The students were just AWESOME to their new resident friends.  We made a fall wreath for them to hang on their doors.  Many of the students got to see where they lived.  It was the BEST time ever!  THANKS to Mrs. Benson for all she does to help us do this community service project and a special thanks this month to Kemper's mom, Ty's mom, and Lynsie's mom.  It was so GREAT to have you share in this experience.  We absolutely can't wait to go again next month.  I am so proud of my students.

Student of the Week...

This is Ms Jersey, our Student of the Week.  When she grows up, she would like to be a police officer.  Some of her FAVORITES are the color red, horses, grandma's rice, bowling, math, reading, and doing art projects at home.  She is a STAR because she is a great BIG sister.  She likes to help her friends and always hugs and kisses her family.  A few things you may not know about Jersey are:  She loves to meet and make new friends, play with animals, go on vacations, and play with her sister.  (She says, " I love her so much.")   THANKS for doing a great job on your poster.

Independent Reading Time...

Here are a few photos of our FAVORITE time of day.  We are really working on STAMINA when reading and try to read a bit longer each day.  We try to find a comfy spot and read, read, read...

Our CAP Student...

Brenden Vigen is a sophmore at LHS and our CAP student this semester.  He will work with us in our classroom on Thursdays and Fridays.  He is doing an AMAZING job so far.  We really like when he listens to us read, helps us with math facts, and even passes out our snacks!!!

Prowler Pride with Cross Country...

The captians for the Cross Country team came to share their Prowler Pride with third graders.  They did an AWESOME job of explaining the sport of Cross Country and shared the many, many fun opportunities that they have had.  Their team ranges from 6th grade-12th grade and has boys and girls on the team.  Coach Efteland would be so proud of these athletes.  GO PROWLERS!!!!

Rotary Club...

Kermet Genereux, on behalf of the Rotary Club, gave each third grader their VERY own dictionary to use in school and at home.  shared some activities with us and showed us some other things that the dictionary contained.  We were soooooooo...excited to get them.  Dictionaries Rock!!!
