LHS Volleyball Players...

We were so lucky to have the senior volleyball players at Challenger today for Prowler Pride!  Shelby, Courtney, Brooke, and Hannah shared their LOVE for volleyball and how important it is to work hard at school!  Their coach is Mrs. Bitter.  They have 12 girls on the team.  They are playing in some big games this week and really want to go to the state tournament.  We wish them good luck!!!  Go Prowlers!!!

Don't the girls look just AWESOME!!!  We asked them a lot of great questions!!!

Our Favorite Reading Nooks...

We have been spending a lot of time reading in our FAVORITE nooks around the classroom.  As you can see, we are really concentrating on our books, logging in our Reader's Notebooks, and making use of comfy, squishy pillows, blankets, beanbags, and many kinds of chairs.  I do think it is one of the BEST parts of our day!

Rock., Paper, Scissors Game...

Our class played a few games of Rock, Paper, Scissors.  We kept track on a game board and wrote about our results.  We discussed different posssibilities or ways of winning, the "fairness" of the game, and working together with a partner.  As you can see, we had a GREAT time!!!

This made me SMILE...

Today was a perfect moment to show that the students are starting to get to know me REALLY well...  Kate gave me a quote that she had found and knew that I would just LOVE it!!!  Here it is...

Dogs' lives
   are too short.
Their only fault,
   really.
