Prowler Pride with Girls Hockey...

Here are a few of the Girls Hockey players that came for Prowler Pride on Friday.  They did an AWESOME job and told us many interesting things about girls hockey, their favoritie things about school at LHS, and other things that they were involved in through school or work.  We asked a lot of GREAT questions.  Thanks, girls!!  GO PROWLERS...

Gingerbread Houses...

We spent some time searching for just the right Gingerbread House on our iPad before we made them.  Here are some pictures of the students busy making these very unique houses.  We also made the same kind of project at Valley Home later that day!  They turned out just AWESOME...

P.S.  Thanks to Ms. Kolstoe for taking photos!

We Have A Winner...

Student of the Week...

Alecia Forst is this week's "Student of the Week".  Some of her favorites are the color blue, dogs (of course) ramen noodles, Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, gymnastics, soccer, and dance.  She has 15 cousins, two brothers that like racing, and three zip lines on her treehouse.  She loves to help others and thinks that she is a GREAT listener and friend to everyone.  We think so, too!!  She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.  THANKS for sharing, Alecia.  YOU ROCK!!!

Current Events...

Ivar was so excited to share some "Current Events" this morning with his classmates.  He talked to us about a commuter train derailment in the Bronx area of New York over the weekend, killing 4 people and injuring many more. He told us that 7 out of the 8 cars had jumped the track because it was going too fast.  He thought it looked just like a subway train, but it was traveling on top of the ground.  We looked at some photos on you tube.  His mom wanted him to watch the news because he has always been interested in trains.  He wants to be a conductor someday.  THANKS for the information, Ivar.  We learned a lot with and from you today!!  We just LOVE current events!!!  Keep them coming!

Student of the Week...

This is Ridge Fisher.  He is this week's Student of the Week.  Ridge is a GREAT friend to others and loves to help them.  Here are some of his favorites...  He loves the color red, dogs, cheese pizza, football (especially the Prowlers), math, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.  Some interesting facts are that his ancestors came on the Mayflower, he loves to camp in summer and winter, and he loves to build with legos.  When he grows up, he wants to be a soldier.  Congratulations, Ridge!!!
