Student of the Week...

This is Ridge Fisher.  He is this week's Student of the Week.  Ridge is a GREAT friend to others and loves to help them.  Here are some of his favorites...  He loves the color red, dogs, cheese pizza, football (especially the Prowlers), math, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.  Some interesting facts are that his ancestors came on the Mayflower, he loves to camp in summer and winter, and he loves to build with legos.  When he grows up, he wants to be a soldier.  Congratulations, Ridge!!!

 

Surprise Visitor...

My daughter, Allyson, came to visit our third grade classroom at Challenger today!  She was home for the weekend deer hunting (no luck--oh well) and decided to see what the third graders were up to.  She came right at Monday Share and had to talk about her weekend, too.  She had a GREAT time getting to know the students, especially the girls.  She was so PROUD of how they could work.  Next time, she can read to them!!  THANKS for coming, Allyson!!!

Current Events...

Jillian Weets shared some Current Events today on the most recent hurricane.  She wrote down information on Typhoon Haiyan that is located in the Philippines.  She did a great job!  We are always looking for important things to share with our friends.  Please help your child to find some interesting current topics of the world!!!

Drama Club and Key Club at Challenger...

The Drama Club and Key Club came for Prowler Pride today.  These are two clubs that are very active at LHS and have a lot of student involvement.  The Drama Club does performances each year and the Key Club volunteers for things such as the Blood Drive and Operation Tutu.  They were all amazing.  GO PROWLERS!!!

 

 

Happy Halloween...

As you can see, we had a SPOOKTACULAR time on Halloween.  We had great costumes, chips and dip, too many treats, and watched the movie, Charlotte's Web.  We also enjoyed third grade activities of Bingo, computer lab, and doing the Monster Mash.    

Cross Country at Challenger...

Thanks to these Cross Country runners for sharing their time with Challenger third graders last week.  They were just AWESOME!!!  We learned so much about running, being a part of a team, favorite moments, and their plans after high school.  They are VERY busy students!!  The coach is Ms. Efteland.    GO PROWLERS!!!

Student of the Week...

This week's Student of the Week was Jaden Edberg.  He brought his dog to share with us.  It was an awesome time having another pet in our classroom.  We thank his mom a lot for bringing the puppy!!!  Jaden loves dogs, hunting, and is very helpful!!!

Dear Kendal...

We wanted to put a couple of cute pictures of Kendal and her friends from the Homecoming Parade on our blog.  We are so glad to have Kendal back with us this week.  She is doing pretty well and we are beginning to see that AWESOME smile again...  We missed you a lot, Kendal!!!

Thanks to Kendal's brother, Lucas!  He brought her work back and forth and delivered A LOT of things almost every single day.  We tried to send him a little treat each day!  He is a great brother to Kendal!!!  Thanks, Lucas.  You rock!!!
