Our CAP Student...

Brenden Vigen is a sophmore at LHS and our CAP student this semester.  He will work with us in our classroom on Thursdays and Fridays.  He is doing an AMAZING job so far.  We really like when he listens to us read, helps us with math facts, and even passes out our snacks!!!

Prowler Pride with Cross Country...

The captians for the Cross Country team came to share their Prowler Pride with third graders.  They did an AWESOME job of explaining the sport of Cross Country and shared the many, many fun opportunities that they have had.  Their team ranges from 6th grade-12th grade and has boys and girls on the team.  Coach Efteland would be so proud of these athletes.  GO PROWLERS!!!!

Rotary Club...

Kermet Genereux, on behalf of the Rotary Club, gave each third grader their VERY own dictionary to use in school and at home.  shared some activities with us and showed us some other things that the dictionary contained.  We were soooooooo...excited to get them.  Dictionaries Rock!!!

Student of the Week...

Lynsie is our Student of the Week.  When she grows up, she wants to be a vet!  Some of her favorites are:  the color pink, zebras and lions, her mom's macaroni and cheese, football, art, and playing with friends.  She LOVES to help others in need and likes to give hugs.  Three cool facts about Lynsie are that she has 29 pairs of shoes (YIKES), loves my little ponies, and has a bedroom decorated with Monster High.  She is a great friend to others.  THANKS, Lynsie!!!

NWEA Testing...

Here is Ryder reading a passage and answering the questions!

Braydin is really THINKING about his READING!!!

Sophia and Kennett are working so hard on their reading passages.
They are doing such a GREAT job on iPads!

Number Top-It...

The students learned about place value in math this week and learned how to play the game, "Number Top-It".  They used A LOT of good strategies when placing their numbers.  It was a GREAT partner lesson, too!  Many more games this year in math.  YEAH...

Bus Safety...

We made some AMAZING buses this week!  We put THREE important rules inside of each bus.  They certainly deserve to be on the AWESOME board...what artists!!!
