Student of the Week...

This week's Student of the Week is Jared.  He lives in Warren and gets to school by car every day!  Some of his favorites are the color red, dogs, spaghetti, Harry Potter books, football, gym, tackle football, and riding four-wheeler.  He is a star because he likes to help others and loves to be nice and help out his friends.  Three things you may not know about him are that he is a fast runner, is a good swimmer, and is good at ice skating.  When he grows up, he wants to be a professional snowmobile racer.  You did a great job, Jared!  Your poster was AMAZING!!!

In honor of Fred...

This was our first time back at Valley Home without our dear friend, Fred Dallman.  We so missed his kind words and smile!  We  were so happy to see his wife, Lorraine.  WE WILL MISS YOU, FRED!!!  WE LOVE YOU...your third grade friends!

Valley Home Visit...

Melissa got a new resident to work with today!  Aren't they so sweet!

Jayanna LOVES her resident!

Will got to work with a resident that knew his family!

Briley's great-grandmother came over to Valley Home from Skylight Apartments to work on the project with him today!  She also taught the kids a new card game.  COOL...

Student of the Week...

This week's Student of the Week is Destiny!  She LOVES the color sea foam green, fennec fox, Domino's Pizza, Mal Spell Book, basketball, gym, and playing with her dolls!  She is a star  because she is nice and shows others she cares by helping them!  Three super-cool facts about her are that she has nine cousins, that she LOVES playing with dolls, and that she really likes to play basketball in gym.  When she grows up, she wants to be a singer and movie star.  You did a GREAT job, Destiny!  Thanks for sharing your poster.

Trumpet of the Swan...

Some friends brought compasses to share with the class today!  We are reading Trumpet of the Swan  and wanted to see a compass in person.  The main character uses it a lot to find places in the woods.  THANKS to all that shared!

It's PI Day in Third Grade...

We did many activities for PI Day in third grade.  We measured, did an art activity, and ate oatmeal pies from Mr. Froiland and his math league at LHS.  They were AWESOME!  Thank you, Mr. Froiland!  We hope you liked your card and light-up Prowler band!!!

NCTC "Nurse For A Day"...

We had our blood pressure taken by the nurse.

We learned to give babies shots.  OUCH...

We helped to put on bandages after surgery.

We got to keep some of the items from surgery!

We learned what it felt like to have a cast!

We listened to each other's heartbeat!

We check our reflexes...

We ended with a dance and balloon hats!  The nursing students made them!!!  We had the BEST time ever.  We were just awesome listeners and even got a bag full of goodies.  THANKS for the great time!
