Prowler Pride...

The LHS Boys Tennis Team came to Challenger this past Friday!  They talked to us about playing tennis, other sports and activities they are involved in, and what they want to do when they graduate.  They did an AWESOME job!  One of the players was an exchange student from France.  Of course, we had to have him give us some words in French.  We had a great time!!!  Our special friend, Ethan was there, too.  He works in our classroom 2 days a week.  Go Ethan!!!

Student of the Week...

This is Kadin Myhre.  He is this week's Student of the Week.  He did an AMAZING job on his poster.  He even wore his special wrestling shirt to present!  When he grows up, he wants to be a professional wrestler.  Here are some of his favorites...the color orange, dogs, apples, Harry Potter, hockey, reading, and playing outside with his toys.  Three things you may not know about Kadin are that he has 1 brother and 1 sister, likes to go fishing with his dad, and likes to go hunting with his dad and brother.  He is a star because he LOVES to help others and is always kind and happy!!!

YUMMY DONUTS!!!

We got a SURPRISE delivery of donuts to our classroom today!  THANKS to Lora (Lucas' mom) for the yummy treat!!!!

Enjoying the nice weather...

We enjoyed some independent reading time outside this afternoon.  It was an AMAZING day to read outside and appreciate the nice warm sunshine.  THANKS for taking it so seriously, third graders!!!

Mrs. Nelson came for a visit...

Mrs. Nelson came to watch and help us with our Poetry Anthology Books today!  We shared some poems and responses with her and of course, had to ask her some questions about her life experiences.  We wish her lots of luck on graduation from UND and getting a teaching position.  She was Mrs. Leake's student teacher this spring.  We enjoyed her visit!

Student of the Week...

Rylan Fox Leake is this week's Student of the Week.  He was born on his Great-Grandma's birthday.  What an amazing thing!!!  Some of his favorites are the colors orange and blue, cats, steak, Geronimo Stilton books, hockey, recess, gym, playing catch at home, baseball, and football!  He cares because he loves to help others and is a star because he is a great friend.  Other things you may not know about Rylan are that he climbed a pyramid in Coba, Mexico and went to the Potato Bowl at UND.  When he grows up, he wants to be a NHL Hockey player.  Thanks for doing a great job on your poster!!!  Your photos were awesome.

Trophy Time Again...

We earned the Cafe Trophy this week!!!  AMAZING job, third graders!!!
