Mrs. Benson

Thanks to Mrs. Benson for sharing her talents with us.  She is the organizer of Valley Home activities and helps us to share our time with the residents.  We have an AMAZING time together and learn so much from each other.  Thanks, Mrs. Benson!  You rock!!!

Student of the Week...

Ty is this week's Student of the Week.  He has a dad, mom, and no brothers or sisters.  Some of his favorite things are the color blue, dogs, pizza, Lego Star Wars books, soccer, gym, and iPads.  He is a star because he has A LOT of legos, he gives big hugs, and is funny.  Three things you may not know about him are that he is a very fast runner, he reads everyday (YEAH), and he is really good at math.  When he grows up, he wants to be a cop and be able to help people.  Congratulations, Ty!

Prowler Football Players...

Dominic, Jacob, and Brody came for Prowler Pride on Friday.  They are talking about all the things that they LOVE about football.  Don't they look happy!!!  Mr. Attig must be very PROUD of his Prowler team.  GO PROWLERS...

This is Zeb (the Quarterback), Andrew, and Grant are sharing special things about football and their life at LHS.  They did an AWESOME job for Prowler Pride this week.  We loved them!!!
GO PROWLERS... Good Luck at sections!
P.S.  Andrew (#33) was a 3rd grade student in Mrs. Helling's class...

Ms. Osmundson's Project...

The students are reading Charlotte's Web together as a class, adding "Book Club" type discussions and learning about character, setting, and plot.  They will write a letter in their Writer's Notebook during this experience and watch a movie of it at the end, comparing a book to a movie setting.  The students each follow along in their own book while Ms. Osmundson is reading to them.  They LOVE the story so far...

Girls Swim Team...

The Prowler Girls Swim Team captains came for a visit last Friday for Prowler Pride.  They did an AWESOME job with the students and taught them a lot!  We hope to have some third graders wanting to be swimmers someday!  Thanks for coming to Challenger.  GO PROWLERS...

Morning Greeting...

Oh, my gosh!!!!

We played Lap Sit this morning for our greeting. Each student starts out on a chair and has to follow instructions from Mrs. Helling for this game.  If she says, "Move 4 steps clockwise if you are wearing blue,"  then you may end up sitting on someone's lap.  As you can see, we had some overloaded laps for a bit.  It was a great game that made us laugh a lot!!!

Student of the Week...

This week's Student of the Week is Carlie.  Some of her favorites... baby blue, dogs, horses, cats, kiwi, basketball, art, math, and playing with her sisters, Alexa and Haylie.  She is a star because she is nice, kind, and respectful to others.  Carlie is also a REALLY good friend and a REALLY good sister.  She has a dog named Buddy and loves him very much!!!  When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher or a vet.  Three cool facts about her are that she is the youngest in her family, LOVES school, shoppng, and riding bike, and has a neighbor that is her BEST friend.  Thanks for sharing, Carlie.
