Our Trip To The Farm...

We had an AMAZING time at the Melbye Farm.  ADawn and Blake did an AWESOME job of sharing their animals and farm with us.  We were surprised by FFA students that were the "experts" in the different stations that we went to.  We saw pigs, held lambs, watched chickens lay eggs, sit on saddles, brush the horses, pet the very friendly dogs, and explore different things in nature along a really cool trail.  At the very end, we go to make smores by a fire.  It was the BEST time ever!!!  We made GREAT lasting memories.  Some of had never been on a farm, held a lamb, or even made smores...THANKS to Blake and his mom for making this happen.  They have such a nice place.  Enjoy some of the pictures below...

Here is our class posing for a photo in the barn...Kendal and Abrianna are holding the lambs!!!

THANKS for inviting us to your farm, Blake.  It was just AMAZING...

Awaiting to become butterflies...

There are 24 chrysalises in the butterfly net.  They are awaiting to become amazing Painted Lady butterflies in about 7 days.  We hope to watch them emerge into beautiful adults in the final stage of the life cycle.  There is only one left to add to the net.  It is slow at becoming a chrysalis.

My BEST weekend...

I had the BEST Mother's Day ever!!!  I got to spend it with my whole family in Fargo!  As you can see, Jace and Otto are having a good look at each other and liking each other already!!!

Pink For Ms. Prickett...

Here are some photos of our Pink For Ms. Prickett Day...  We did a GREAT job of supporting this cause (over $1,000) and I know that Carli was very happy and proud of her school family!!!

We wanted to be silly for Carli's mom and make her laugh!  We also sent her a note on PINK sticky notes with some PINK gum!!!

The larvae have arrived...

The larvae arrived about a week ago and are busy growing into a chrysalis.  Each student named their larvae and have been logging its growth.  Today there are 6 larvae in the butterfly net trying to become butterflies!!  We are so excited to see how many will survive.  They are just AMAZING!!!

Teaching Assistant...

Our class was working on angles in a math lesson this week and Coby shared an idea that he uses when solving problems with certain angle measurements.  He did an OUTSTANDING job of helping his fellow classmates and giving them a way to remember a variety of angles. Thanks, Coby!
